entitled "Bantay Bayan" for the first semester of the Academic Year 2009-2010.
We would like to hear it from you!
We welcome literary and feature contributions (of any genre)*.
If you have the skill in writing, now is the time for you to show it.
Please make sure that your article is your original composition that is, not
copied in any published magazines, newspapers, periodicals, books, and the like.

ReplyDeletewow! i am really empressed. may website na ang aking dear alma mater! hihi.. anyway,I also missing being part of the publication. Sino na ba ang editor in chief ngaun?? I used to be the sport editor noong term ko, 1999-2001 yata yon, hahaha, tagal na kasi! i really missed my buddies and gals of the group, sana i will have any chance to get reconnected to them in anyways? I still love writing and creating poems. etc. I want to contribute some of it to the paper. pede po ba yon?? Am I allowed?? pero nasa denmark po ako ngayon nakatira eh... hope for any response... and more power to the UCC & Crossroads!!! Jeeehaaa!!! ;)

kasi ang alam ko that was the name of the mag ng Far Eastern University way back pa nung golden years. cguro naman it would be challenge na mag-research kayo kung anong quality of that publication. high ang standard nya, fyi lang ho.

i'm not that kinda happy cause hindi ko na makita ang essence ng crossroad. ang alam ko kasi isang itong pahayagan ng mga estudyanteng naglalayon na maipakita at maipahayag ang kanilang mga saloobin at obserbasyon ayon sa kanilang sariling mga pananaw at paniniwala. nung ako'y nasa yugto ng aking karanasan ka'y rami ko ng nakikita na mali sa pamamalakad ng itinuri kong lugar ng kaalaman, pero hindi ko ibig ipahatid na ang lahat ng duon ay magkakasingtulad syepmre kahit papaano may naiiba panaman din. siguro alam mo na ang ibig kong sabihin diba? sana magising ka sa kototohanan na ginawa ang pahayagan na yan upang magsilbing BIBIG AT MATA NG MGA ESTUDYANTENG NAGMAMALASAKIT SA PAARALANG kanilang tinatangkilik UPANG MAIAYOS AT MAITAMA ang mga Maling nakagawian nitong maling pamamalakad. sana huwag kana matakot sana lumaban ka bilang bibig at isip ng mga estudyanteng pinaglilingkuran mo.

I just want to ask if it is possible na ang mga alumni ng ucc particulary crossroad ay magcontribute ng works outside school pero makakatulong para mapaganda ang crossroad at para na rin sa students... Why not provide a orner for crossroad alumni?

ReplyDeleteUy, ikaw, akala mo ang talino mo din ha? Buti nga yung ibang alumni, may pagnanais makatulong, ni hindi ka nga siguro nakatungtong ng college, kung makapagsalita ka akala mo kung sino ka. Pinapalaki pa yung typo. May problema kami ngayon sa pahayagan namin dahil di kami makapagpahayag doon. Kung wala kang maitutulong para maayos yon, manahimik ka na lang dyan sa lungga mo!

ReplyDeleteSSC, kayo ang boses ng mga estudyante. Gawan n'yo naman ng paraan na maging maayos ang mga taga-pamuno ng pahayagan natin. Ang pahayagan ng mga estudyante ang isang testimonya sa karunungang natatamasa natin sa ating unibersidad. Sa palagay ko, hindi makatarungan na repleksyon ng serbisyo ng mga mahuhusay nating guro ang kalidad ng ating pahayagan. Sana, tulungan ninyo ang mga estudyanteng magkaboses sa ating unibersidad.

ReplyDeleteKung ang gusto nyo pong tagapamahala ng aming pahayagan ay isang tao na hindi pupuna sa inyo, sana man lang po, kumuha kayo ng isang tao na organisado at maayos mamahala, kasi po, nakakahiya po talagang maibasa ng ibang tao ang mali-maling grammar. O kaya naman po, sa halip na english, baka jologs-lingo, swardspeak --- yung wika po na magaling talaga ang mga estudyante. Pwede rin po ang akademikong Filipino. At least, mag-umpisa po kung saan pwede, yung totoo lang ba, kaysa piliting mag-Ingles, di naman kaya, di po ba?

Uy Zirk, sana, nakahalata ka naman sa ibig mong puntuhin sa tanong mo. Paano naman may magco-commnent tungkol doon, di naman alam ng ibang school, lalo ng ng FEU, na ganoon din ang pangalan ng pahayagan natin? Isa pa, kung ako, may hawag akong CROSSROADs, mahihiya din akong ipakita sa iba. Ano naman ang maipagmamalaki ko sa nilalaman noon? Mas mahusay pa nga ang pahayagan ng ibang highschool sa pahayagan natin, o pahayagan ninyo, kasi, karamihan sa amin na mga estudyante, di naman makapagpahayag sa inyo. Di kayo marunong makinig o maka-pulso sa talagang kailangan o minimithi ng ating kapwa estudyante.

Speaking of papel...well it's been a long-standing tradition for our school publication to release newsmags and a literary folio every school year. I really appreciate that. Pero dahil sa super late po ang release ng mga ito..kadalasan e di na timely ang balita o article. Matagal ng lumamig ang balita bago pa po ito mapasakamay ng mga estudyante. Ang suhestiyon ko po para dito ay ang paggamit ng mga bagong makinarya like a website. We all know na may bayad po yun so why not resort to blogging sites? There you can post pictures & videos in real time. Nakikita ko po sa FACEBOOK ang mga nakakatuwang video posts ng AB Eng students ng Camarin...it was entertaining & really fun to watch. Sobrang dami pong advantages. It's timely, cheap & easy to publish/update. Alam ko po that some of the people in your org might have already thought about this..so I hope you consider it. Maging active po sana kayo!! Sana kahit papano e magkaroon ng katuparan ito. Ito na lang siguro ang maiiwan ko sa UCC. I'm not sure if I will grdaute this coming April but if that happens I won't be able to update this site anymore. So I guess mas lalong mangangapa ang mga estudyante.

Just wanna know if its open for contributors outside? is it possible if you will leave one or two pages for the "outsiders?" kasi we might be helpful para mas mapaganda ang crossroad. lets make a difference... aside from the school happenings.. allow works/write ups etc from the outside and publish it... spice up and make it informative. suggesstion lang din..... why not let the alumni subscribe? maybe they could submit their works at pag napili ok.. in exchange we will pay para sa subscription? sa ganyang paraan kikita ang crossroad then the funds could help with other department's needs..
